Auden Sunset Series Grace Golden Sunburst 2024 Electro-Acoustic Guitar

This is a beautiful Auden Sunset Series Grace electro-acoustic guitar in Golden Sunburst finish. Made in the United Kingdom in 2024, this guitar features a dovetail construction using Hide Glue with a AAAA Spruce top, Flamed Maple back & sides, African Mahogany neck & 20 fret Ebony fingerboard with matching bridge. The body is double-bound in Maple/Ebony along with a Maple/Ebony Rosette. The headplate is made from Ebony, and is complimented by Schertler 18:1 open-geared tuning machine with ‘Butterbean’ buttons. A Bone saddle and nut are fitted, completing an exquisitely appointed instrument.

The Mahogany neck plays beautifully, with a profile which could be described as a Medium ‘C’ shape. This fills the hand for a confidence-inspiring grip whilst remaining slim enough for tricky chord voicings and articulate melodic playing. Certainly, the neck is practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques; feeling well suited to chord playing, melodic lines and fingerpicking patterns alike. The Ebony of the fingerboard is nice and dark in appearance, and along with its supremely tight grain provides a smooth, durable and luxurious playing surface. The Jumbo body shape feels great in the arms, ensuring comfort in both standing and seated positions.

The acoustic voice of the Auden is rich and warm, and provides a surprising amount of balance for a jumbo-bodied acoustic. Lows are warm without being too soft, retaining plenty of accuracy. The midrange is tight and punchy, helping to easily cut through a mix when playing as part of an ensemble. The treble response is bright and shimmering, adding a sparkle to every note played on the instrument. One real standout feature of this instrument is the clarity of the note separation with each note ringing true with a bell-like overtone. The Flamed Maple back and sides add a richness to the sound, working in conjunction with the Jumbo body design to deliver a warm bass response and clear mid range. A fine example of why more artists are turning to Auden for their acoustic needs.
